Harvard Child-Centered AI Lab / Curio Project
The Harvard Child-Centered AI Lab advances research and design to ensure AI supports children’s learning, development, and well-being.
Within the lab, the Curio Home Study project investigates how AI-supported learning tools can encourage children to ask scientific curiosity questions. The project focuses on supporting children’s observation, inquiry, and reasoning through playful, scaffolded interactions.
The project uses illustrated, counterintuitive science scenarios and interactive interface flows to make scientific inquiry more accessible, playful, and child-centered.
